Some of my reactions as I read chapter 25... I'll come back later to talk more seriously about things. Please feel free to read along with me and share your reactions and start some discussions, but please NOTHING that happens after Chapter 25. And only read this if you've finished Chapter 25!
Cried. Then cried again while watching my niece cry over Prim. Still kind of not ready to keep going, but I want to know how it ends.
I mean, Prim? But she's why it all started in the first place. She's the best of all of them. The only one Katniss always knew 100% she loved without reservation. I never never never never never in a million years would have predicted Prim.
OK. Here goes.
Real/not real again. I really do love that game.
I don't really have any comments. I'm feeling a little too broken right now.
Snow. I hate him even more now. Creepy evil.
Oh gads, he's not lying to her. That's not the way this book works. District 13 did it. Oh crap. I knew I didn't like them, but really? This far? Not just the indiscriminate gunfire of the rebels, but purposefully children? Prim?
I don't know how this book can end.
I kind of guessed that it was District 13, really, even before the reminders of Gale and Beetee's weapons. I mean, Snow was using the kids as a shield, so I didn't really understand why he would bomb them, it would just increase hatred for him.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't even thinking about it (I let the Pres. Snow hatred blind me). I was outraged enough at the rebels over the girl in the yellow coat (which BTW reminds me of the little girl in the pink coat in Schindler's List. Guess it's just the tragic girl coat thing). I never even made the leap to Prim until they mentioned the similarity to Gale's bombs.
